3300 CLUB
Fernie, British Columbia
OPENED: ???
CLOSED: NO
I managed to find a member of the Club 3300 in Fernie, B.C. The club is still in existence. It is a men’s club, limited to 50 members
which meets for dinner twice a month. Once a year they have a Stag Night where they play cards, 21. The club was formed about
1950 or 1951. The name derives from the elevation of Fernie, i.e. 3300 feet above sea-level. A former Fernie resident, the late
Bill Ross, obtained some of the chips in 1988 and said he believed they were introduced about 1983.
